We'll cover all the wheel basics to get you started — from a lump of clay in a bag through to a finished piece you can eat off of, drink out of, admire, use daily, and enjoy for years to come. Students will be working and practicing \u003cstrong\u003eon the wheel\u003c\/strong\u003e for all 4 weeks.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAt the end of the 4 weeks, students will have the \u003cstrong\u003eoption to continue\u003c\/strong\u003e for a second 4-week wheel course (with additional wheel skills and techniques introduced), or to select their glazes and have staff finish their pieces, which will be ready for pick up 2-3 weeks following the final class. Alternatively, folks that wish to glaze their pieces themselves may join us during regularly-scheduled \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.meldmakerstudio.com\/products\/workshop-glazing-session-1\"\u003eWorkshop Glazing\u003c\/a\u003e dates.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch1\u003eDetails\u003c\/h1\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eEach class participant will receive up to \u003cstrong\u003e15 pounds\u003c\/strong\u003e of a smooth-throwing clay, \u003cstrong\u003e2.5 hours\u003c\/strong\u003e of instructional \u003cstrong\u003ewheel time\u003c\/strong\u003e per week, options to \u003cstrong\u003emake-up \u003c\/strong\u003ea missed class toward the end of the session (because life happens), and all the \u003cstrong\u003etools, glaze, and firings\u003c\/strong\u003e needed to create and finish your pieces end-to-end. Folks are typically able to finish \u003cstrong\u003e8-12 pieces\u003c\/strong\u003e per course, depending on the size of the pieces.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOur series classes run small, with a maximum of \u003cstrong\u003e6 participants\u003c\/strong\u003e to \u003cstrong\u003e1 instructor\u003c\/strong\u003e, to ensure that each student receives personalized instruction, advice, and guidance specifically geared toward your personal needs and areas of improvement.
