Curled Fox Ladle

Hand-built ladle with sgraffito details. To create these pieces, I apply layers of colored underglaze then carefully carve them away to reveal the clay underneath. As my sgraffito work is all carved free-hand, no two pieces in a series are alike.

This ladle features a sweet napping fox in the bowl of the spoon, with his woodland treats dancing along the handle. Food-safe and dishwasher safe, but hand wash recommended for longevity.
