  • Amanda | she/her | @amhmakes

Amanda is driven to try many different art forms by an ever-present and insatiable curiosity. Across all mediums, she gravitates toward bright, cheerful color palettes. She loves making art for the purpose of putting another beautiful thing into the world, and loves it even more when her art can serve a functional purpose in everyday life.

On any given day, you'll probably find Amanda in Meld's studio, where works as the owner and operator in addition to creating artwork of her own.

  • Cam | he/him | @instacam_eron

Cameron is inspired by the world around him. His work captures nature through an abstract lens, exploring unique perspectives based on his own photography. Each piece aims to evoke the spirit of landscapes, plants, or wildlife in a way that feels fresh and thought-provoking.

Outside the studio, he's often immersed in tabletop role-playing games, sports leagues, or experimenting with new art forms to broaden his creative horizons. He's excited to share his work with you and bring a touch of nature's abstract beauty into your world!

  • Katie | she/they | @katiehausstumptown

Katie sought a creative outlet in 2020 to counterbalance conducting research in critical care. Her return to the woodburning (pyrography) she had done as a kid unleashed a curiosity for other mediums and a search for creative community in which to learn, share, and laugh. Creating allows Katie to find space outside of day-to-day work to re-center, relax, and be playful.

Her work is both realistic and abstract, drawing on themes from nature, family, and the human body. Katie is excited to share these creations (and the medium of pyrography) with others!

  • Laura | she/her

Laura returned to pottery as a creative outlet in 2024, after enjoying taking studio art classes in high school. She enjoys both handbuilding and wheel-throwing functional items, and loves gifting her friends and family handmade pieces they can use and love in their everyday lives.

When not in the studio, Laura enjoys baking, gardening, and being outdoors with her husband and dog.

  • Nicole | she/her

Nicole takes inspiration from traditional and modern ceramics she sees during her travels, especially of forms originating in South Korea. She started ceramics as a hobby in 2022 and enjoys making functional wares with elegant shapes or cute designs that spark joy.

You can find Nicole working on event coordination at Meld, making workshop inspo pieces, assisting with classes, and crafting her own art. She is also trained as an Objects Art Conservator and loves to talk materials and museums.

  • Tyler | he/him | @tyscheff

Tyler was looking for an escape from digital content creation and discovered his new love for pottery in 2024. He gravitates toward simple neutrals, clean lines, and minimalist-modern designs.

When not in the studio, Tyler is most likely traveling, at a concert, or filming weddings.

  • Wren | they/she

Wren (they/she) started mudding around as a new hobby in 2022. They enjoy pottery as a chance for meditation, release of control, and quiet/creative time -- it's not about the "product" being created, it's about the process of creating! They sell their pottery at subsidized prices with the hopes of making handmade pieces available to all. Plus honestly, Wren's partner really wants to get some of this pottery out of the house. Please know that other artists, who may charge more for similar items, absolutely should be paid what they are asking for the art they are creating.

  • Lindsay (“Zee”) | she/her

"I make things that live somewhere between the forest floor and a shoebox of childhood treasures—a little wild, a little silly, but maybe can also serve you snacks. My work ranges from hand-built ceramics to watercolor illustrations, inspired by walks in the woods and around Baltimore. I have a background in printmaking, so I’m especially drawn to sgraffito as a way to create illustrations on clay. Everything I make is built slowly and lovingly by hand. I hope my pieces bring a bit of quirky charm to the spaces they inhabit, whether that’s a kitchen table, a tree branch, or a best friend’s windowsill."
