You asked, we listened! We're happy to offer the first of our monthly Paint-Your-Own-Pottery meetup for our Baltimore pottery pals. In our PYOP workshops, you'll be jumping into the pottery process halfway through; the pieces have already been formed and fired, and now you get to select your piece and finish it up by glazing ("painting") it.
A ticket to our PYOP meetup reserves your spot and is applied as a credit toward any piece you select. Unlike our traveling PYOP events, you'll be able to choose any piece from our extensive collection to glaze! Once you select your piece, you can pay the remainder in person via tap-to-pay, credit card, Venmo, or CashApp, and the total price range is from $10-60 per piece.
No experience is necessary, both beginners and experts alike are welcome! All supplies needed for this experience will be provided by Meld, so all you need to bring is yourself and your creativity. We'll have every color of glaze you can think of and an experienced ceramicist to lead you on your journey. Be sure to arrive on time to ensure you have ample time to finish your piece.
After the event, we'll keep your pieces with us, dip them in clear glaze, fire them in our kiln, and email you when they're ready for pickup - typically within 2-3 weeks.
Note that these Paint-Your-Own-Pottery pieces are made from different clay than the rest of the wares you see on our website. With that in mind, it is best to hand wash your finished piece to ensure its longevity.
