Rose Incense Holder Handbuilding Workshop | Thursday, August 27, 2026

In this workshop we will teach you how to make a round or oblong incense holder from scratch! You'll pick your shape and use a slab to make the base form. Then, our instructor will teach you how to make decorative ceramic roses for your piece. Other creative ideas are also welcome! At the end we'll show you how to poke holes to hold incense, or feel free to use the dish for jewelry or a catch-all.

Each class participant will receive enough clay to make one incense holder. The workshop will include 3 hours of instructional time and all the tools and firings needed to create and finish your pieces.

Instructor glazing is included in your ticket for a single color. If you'd like to decorate and glaze your piece with more details, you can register for a glazing session dated 2 or more weeks after your workshop to come back and glaze it yourself. This is a great option for folks who have intricate glazing designs in mind or who want to learn about the glazing part of the process.

Finished pieces will be available approximately 4 weeks after the workshop date.
