Slug Mug Workshop | Sunday, August 23, 2026

Slug mugs are the special feature of this workshop! We'll give you a pre-thrown cup that you can adorn with carefully crafted clay slugs as well as a mug handle.

Our instructor will share special slug and bug making techniques but you can come with creative inspiration beyond the slug-o-sphere. Tools will be provided for handbuilding and carving options.

Instructor glazing is included in your ticket for a single color. If you'd like to decorate and glaze your slug mug with more details, you can register for a glazing session dated 2 or more weeks after your workshop to come back and glaze it yourself. This is a great option for folks who have intricate glazing designs in mind or who want to learn about the glazing part of the process.

Finished pieces will be available approximately 4 weeks after the workshop date.

Come as you are. We recognize that different brains and different bodies come with unique strengths and limitations, and we'll work with you to find techniques that work for your mind and your body. Pottery is for all bodies and we're proud of our vibrant and supportive community. Hate has no place in our studio.
